FAITHFUL
We are a faith-based Catholic school. Christ the King School is faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ, and mutually faithful to the children, the parents, and the teaching staff.
OPEN
We will facilitate "blended learning," to accommodate Covid restrictions, both for distance/remote learning and onsite learning during the COVID Pandemic.
SAFE
Practical safeguards will be in place.
* social distancing, face masks, small class size (limited students/grade level)
* educating students in safe procedures (hand washing, hygienic practices)

In accordance with Governor Whitmer's Executive Order 2020-142 and a Return to School Roadmap, Christ the King Catholic School will have a COVID-19 PREPAREDNESS PLAN.

COVID Pandemic
The Coronavirus Pandemic brought about the closure of schools around the world. Our brick and mortar school building closed to in-school teaching in March 2020 due to the lockdown. Regularly-scheduled activities were cancelled. COVID 19 impacted students, staff, families and our community in ways we never imagined.

We shared information to help some gain access to internet service and we made sure the students had tech devices so we could communicate during Online classes.
Distance Teaching
Teachers taught from home.

Students learned from home.
CTK Cares Packages
CTK shipped Magnet Kits, Garden Kits, Easter Crafts, Math Games, Money Learning Kits and more, to our students.
Zoom and Google Classes
We met with our students online.
Private Facebook Group
We established a special private group Facebook Page where students, parents, families, faculty and community could stay connected during the quarantine.
Calls & Emails
We reached out to families (wellness check-ins) to make sure they were okay during the quarantine. We shared information to help some gain access to internet service and we made sure the students had tech devices so we could communicate during Online classes.
